The first time we met was through a local Phoenix Lesbian Meetup group who was having a Happy Hour event at "Stacey's at Melrose" in the city (Phoenix gay strip). I, as usual, arrived by myself. I found/joined, the Meetup group. We all hung out, chatted, sipped on cocktails, laughed & BS'd, while getting to know one another. We introduced ourselves (as I added that I was single, not looking, but traveling the country) and we continued to connect on various levels while laughing and enjoying ourselves. Finally, we decided to go inside to dance and enjoy the DJ's music. --> BUUTTT Tracey was nowhere to be found! She was simply GONE. In my eyes (and my friend's), she had just disappeared! No bye, see you later, here's my number, call me later, nothing. *LOL* WELL, if ANYONE knows me, that didn't stop me. :-) I found her on the Meetup group RSVP page and PM'd her. No, I'm NOT a stalker! *lmao* I actually was just "checking on" her to make sure she was okay but also to say hello (+ give her my contact info). ;-) Oh & YES...she definitely DID message me back - the SAME DAY (following the Happy Hour) with her number. I asked her to join me for dinner that night but she said no. She was too busy with her fur babies, which is why she "apparently" left SO abruptly the night before. (*hmmmm*) So (as I am), I asked this tall, dark, "handsome", intelligent, intriguing, intellectual to join me AGAIN after my dinner (later that night) for something else --> a comedy show. She finally said yes! --> HER: "You're gonna keep me busy aren't you? ME: Maybe" *lol* ;-D So then, we next met at CB Live (a local comedy club in North Phoenix) that same evening for a "free" show. It was a fun(ny) night - with another Meetup group = GGG), which continued the start of our connection. And well...the rest is history & HERE WE ARE, unexpectedly! :-D Yes, we clicked from the beginning but we both still had reservations so we needed to "confirm" that we were both on the same page. Luckily we were (are)! *LOL* We are "perfectly imperfect" and made perfectly imperfect for one other, in this perfect time of our lives, surrounded by an imperfect world - here to make our perfectly imperfect (yet perfect of us) dreams come true, individually and together = POWER COUPLE. We are TRULY lucky to have found one another...AND in our own state (AZ!). No - in our own CITY (Phoenix)! How rare is that these days? So yeah - NO dating apps needed here! CANCELED THOSE!!
Well, we were in the mist of a typical Jenny and Tracey weekend, but this one was especially significant. We were celebrating a new job offer Jenny had received. While waiting for our food to arrive at our table and looking into Jenny's eye's, feeling her warmth, love and listening to her way of making life beautiful and sparkly. My heart and brain became one...and I knew she was made for ME. My soul spoke up and interrupted her magical, wondrous way of making positive spiritual connections. I asked, "Will you marry me?" I'm happy to report, she said YES.
