We’re getting married!

In April 2017, during their freshman year of college, Jazmyn and Brannen met through a mutual friend. The first night they met, there was an immediate connection between the two of them. Something about each of them stood out to the other in a way that made them want to get to know each other more. Unfortunately, at that time, Brannen had been in another relationship. Shortly after, Jazmyn was in a relationship as well. While the two still kept in touch throughout college, something always felt off between them when they did speak. One would check in on the other to see how they were doing, but the conversations felt like they were getting shorter and shorter as time went on. Flash forward to three and a half years later, Jazmyn reaches out to Brannen one day, and the rest is history. The time had finally come; both of them had found their way out of their previous relationships, and the connection that they had felt years ago was still very prevalent, and stronger than ever; the suppressed feelings they felt for each other were finally able to be truly felt. Soon after, Jazmyn booked a trip to fly out and see Brannen in Reno, and what was supposed to be a four day trip turned into two weeks. During this time, the two of them officially started dating and for them, it felt like finally fitting in the last piece of the puzzle. Over the next few months, they traveled back and forth visiting each other, until they decided that they did not want to do long distance if they did not have to, so they talked and agreed that the next best move for them was to move in together. Every day since, they have fallen more and more in love and created a life for themselves that they love to share.

December 29, 2020. Brannen had plans to take Jazmyn on a date night to a lookout he had been talking about for a couple of months. The lookout was called Grizzly Peak and it looked out over the whole San Francisco Bay Area. After dinner that night, the two of them changed and made their way out to the lookout. It took them about a half an hour to get out there, and when they did, the view was breathtaking. Being able to see the whole city lit up at night was magical and very romantic. Brannen asked if Jazmyn wanted to get out and take pictures of them and the view. When she agreed, they got out of the car and Jazmyn took a couple pictures, and when she turned to ask Brannen to stand in front of her camera, he was down on one knee, with the ring in his hand. Jazmyn immediately started crying and Brannen had the biggest smile on his face as he asked her to marry him. The whole moment was the best thing either of them had experienced in life so far, and they cannot wait for their special day to say I DO!
