The Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event, with showcases and education on the world of floral design and gardening. It's absolutely gorgeous!
Steven Starr's first French bistro (he then expanded to Le Diplomat in D.C., etc.). It overlooks Rittenhouse Square and is a great bet for any meal. Try the French onion soup (Ben's fave) and the quiche (Jasmine's fave)!
One of our absolute favorites...but same with everyone else in Philly. If you call day of, you can probably get a 530 reservation at the bar, so check their website (not on open table) or just pop by. It's delicious, modern, New American
Stop by the state store for a bottle of wine and head to this unassuming Italian BYOB, owned by a lovely Italian couple. Mushroom risotto (or if the gnocchi is on the menu) is amazing.
Truly unique brick-oven baked pizza as seen on Barstoolsports (9.1 from El Pres!). Pizza is pizza...except this is different. Cash only, long line, but worth it (and you want to eat it right away on the street!). P.S. They also have amazing cheesesteaks and hoagies. True Philadelphia Gem!!
Nice place to start your night with cocktails at the secret bowling alley downstairs past the kitchen.
Please don't go to Pat's or Geno's unless it's 2am in the morning and it's after our wedding. The best cheesesteaks in Philly are actually at John's Roast Pork. Note: they run out of bread by 2 or 3pm everyday. Worth a pilgrimage here. Also, don't get cheese wiz. Please, provolone or american with fried onions only!
Super cool "Jewish Tapas" place run by the same folks who do Zahav and Goldie's (Zahav is the #1 ranked restaurant in the US, apparently). Portions are huge, so come hungry, they reconstruct and reiterate traditional jewish classics, but it's a hip, inventive fusion. Think viel schnitzel tacos, roast beef challah dumplings, and matzo ball tamales. Mmmmm...
Indoor market with dozens of stalls, vendors, and types of food. Fun to walk through, and even better to run through when you're Nick Cage, getting chased by bad guys in National Treasure.
2 words: draft latte. Ok, more words...they have a ham and butter panini and it's amazing. If you buy a pound of fresh roasted coffee beans, they give you a free coffee. So keep that in mind. Also, free seltzer on tap!
Jasmine's favorite place to get Tehina shakes. After you pick up a shake, walk a block down the street and indulge a little more on a Federal donut. :)
Their hot and fresh donuts are (in our opinion) the best, but their fancy donuts may also win you over.
Located in Old City, this was the nation's first ice cream shop! Okay...we're actually not entirely sure that's a fact but it is really old.
Staple of the Philly Out scene, this large gay club caters to all audiences, orientations, and age ranges. 3 separate rooms with house, techno, laser lights and smoke, the whole shebang (literally). $10 cover on weekends.
Want to dance, drink, jump into a ball pit, and touch fuzzy walls all in one night? Then you're in luck, because Concourse has it all --plus 90s and 2000s hiphop and dance tunes.
Standard dive bar downstairs, sweaty frat dance floor upstairs. Only the chillest 90s jams and vibes.
IF YOU WANT TO RELIVE Ben and Jasmine's first kiss, you'll want to go here, head to the back mailroom, and have a smooch.
