Most will tell you that dating apps are a complete waste of time. While we don't disagree, we can start by saying we couldn't be more grateful that Bumble exists. We feel very lucky to be a part of the 1% of success cases that found love on a dating app. When we met each other, I think we both knew immediately. When I sent Jayne a photo of my "You Shall Not Pass" Gandalf welcome mat, and was met with overwhelming excitement, it became pretty clear what was in store for our future. We had our first date set for the coming weekend, but our first unofficial date happened the Thursday night during the week we first started talking. We played Fortnite together for hours like a couple of dorks, followed by a phone call that lasted longer than I can remember. Our date was set for Saturday... but we couldn't wait to meet each other, so we immediately booked dinner for Friday night at a local Thai spot. When I arrived, I still laugh thinking about the moment we first saw each other because I was unaware she was in her car right next to me as I weirdly locked my car for the second time and looked around at all the signs making sure I wouldn't get towed. She didn't know how I am actually psychotic about towing companies and my car, and thought I was uninterested at first. Truth is, I was nervous as hell and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her in that black dress. I was just hoping she wouldn't see the sweat beading on my forehead. Turns out I ordered the spiciest thing on the menu, and Jayne thought it was the most entertaining activity possible to watch me suffer through the peppers. Honestly, I was glad for the food making me sweat, because it excused all of the real sweat and blushing I was already doing on my own. From there, the rest was history. Very quickly, Jayne and I became inseparable. There isn't a thing I don't enjoy doing with her. Jayne has lit up my world in a way I didn't realize one person could do. She encourages me to be my best self, supports my dreams, and compliments my weird in a way very few people ever have. I have experienced more in a short span of time with her than I can even begin to write here for all of you. We've slowly been adventuring the world, and we both believe that the most valuable thing in life is to share experiences with one another. Jayne, the joy I feel getting to share this life with you is beyond what I ever dreamed I could experience. I have never been so certain I wanted to spend forever with anyone. I thought love at first sight was a lie, but I knew from day one with you. Time has only cemented this thought for me. We are so excited to share this milestone in our lives with you. We look forward to celebrating together and surrounding ourselves with the ones that have meant the most and supported us to get where we are today, and to be who we are today. Cheers!
