Jayme first saw Brad when he stopped by during her Fire Academy class to visit his old instructors. She was struck by his smile and how confident he looked walking into the room. They saw each other again at a party at the Lager’s house but they didn’t talk because Brad thought she was dating someone. Fast forward to later that summer when Adam & Jess invited Jayme over to a bonfire, which Brad would be attending. Adam prepared Jayme to not be offended, because “Brad doesn’t really talk much’’. Something must have been in the s’mores that night because they talked throughout the whole bonfire. They had their first date a few weeks later at Santa Fe in Glen Ellyn. Four years later, Brad asked Jayme to marry her in their new home with their faithful best friend, Montana, jumping around excitedly.
