Flight
If you choose to fly, this should be your final destination. The Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) is on the outskirts of Porto and is well connected to the city through the public transportation network. Several airlines connect this airport to central Europe and overseas. If you fly from far away, (e.g. USA), we would recommend looking into TAP Airlines and/or United. For those coming from Europe, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings, and Ryanair have either direct flights or flighs with one layover. Note: it is also possible to land in the Lisbon airport (LIS), 300km south and take a train to Porto. The transfer from the Lisbon airport plus the train journey should take about 4h. Let us know if this is something you'd like to do and we will give you more tips and tricks.
Travel Note
We suggest using Booking.com to search for a place to stay in the Porto area. It is normally cheaper and offers more flexible booking options than Airbnb, and it provides a wide variety of places to stay.
Travel Note
The venue is less than 20 km from the center of Porto. The best option is to take an Uber or a Bolt, which should add up to a maximum of 20EUR, from the city center. Despite being somewhat isolated, the venue is relatively close to the airport which means that you will be able to find a ride home at virtually any time.
