Malamala Beach Club is a small island off the coast of Nadi. It's a short boat ride from Port Denarau where we will be for the wedding. You can do water sports, snorkeling, kayaking or just sit and have a drink or massage.
South Sea Sailing organizes day trips to other islands around Denarau. You can take a sail boat or a speed boat. Again, great for getting away and doing water sports or relaxing. Quite an few different options on the website.
Suva is the capital of Fiji and is on east coast of the main island. It's a 3-4 hour bus ride or 2-3 hour car ride depending on how you want to get there. Suva is the more built up city in Fiji with a few museums etc.
Momi Bay is a more secluded beach area about an hour from Nadi. Great hotels like the Marriott Momi Bay which has rooms sitting on the water.
We're not the best water people, in fact we've both almost drowned a handful of times. There is a story about how I almost let Tanya drown in Thailand, but that's all lies. Apparently Rainbow Reef has some of the best diving in the world. Getting there is a bit of a mission but well worth it by the pictures.
Fishing is epic in Fiji and there are lots of places to do it. Charters can be all inclusive so you just have to get there and the'll do the rest for you.
The Sofitel and most other hotels on Denarau Island have tons of water sports, fishing, jet skis, snorkeling and private boat hires.
