If you are staying in New York, we recommend traveling to the entrance of Central Park by foot, Taxi, Uber/Lyft, or the shuttle. Private cars do not have access to Central Park itself. We recommend getting dropped off at the entrance to Central Park at 72nd Street and Fifth Avenue. From there, the most direct route is to walk straight on Terrace Drive, veering right on East Drive. The Lake will be on your left side as you walk on East Drive and you will see The Boathouse Restaurant as well. You can't miss it. It is about a 5 minute walk.
Shuttle service will be provided at approximately 15 minute intervals to take guests to and from 5th Avenue and the Boathouse. It will stop at the corner of 72nd and 5th Avenue as well as on 80th Street and 5th Avenue, near the Metropolitan Museum’s garage. The shuttle begins at 4:30pm.
If you are driving to New York, there is parking available near the Boathouse. Small parking garages may be found as close as 72nd and 73rd streets and Fifth Avenue, but we suggest using the Metropolitan Museum’s garage at 80th Street and Fifth Avenue. It is large enough so that you will always find a space and it is open 24 hours.
