Bride
Maid of Honor
Sky is the best sister in the world! She is the gentlest soul, kindest girl around, and an extremely talented photographer. Sky took our engagement photos which you'll see in the guest book at the wedding, along with the photo on our Save the Date. She is 4.5 years younger than me, but we've always managed to be besties. She was just 13 years old when Jason and I started dating, and came with me to visit him at work when he was serving up froyo at Menchies. She's grown up into the most amazing person and it's been so fun to witness.
Matron of Honor
Erin is Jason's big sister and such an amazing soon-to-be sister-in-law. She is always welcoming, easy to talk to, poised, and sincere. When I started dating Jason at 17, Erin felt like this super cool twenty-something who had an incredible life in New York, and I remember thinking she was a total role model for how to live your best life. 9 years late and she's still is a major role model for me! She's the big sister I never had and I truly won the lottery with the best in-laws out there.
Bridesmaid
Mary is my trustworthy, confident, thoughtful best friend of 20+ years! I met her through dance at 3 years old and our moms and dads quickly became best friends too. Our families are truly more like one big family. We went to the same elementary, middle, high school, and college & with Mary being 2 academic years above me, I turned to her for advice on anything and everything. She even introduced me to Jason (you can read that story on the home page)! From plastic princess crowns, to Justin Bieber fangirl-ing, to becoming strong women, she's been there through it all.
Bridesmaid
Maya was first introduced to me in elementary school at a mutual friend's sleepover. We had an awesome night of hanging out, but then didn't see each other for a few years since we went to different elementary and middle schools. When high school rolled around and we found out we were both going to Enloe & were in the same french class, we quickly became close. Maya and I were exchange students together in France and even got to dance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade together. She also went with me to get smoothies before my first date with Jason AND was our roommate during our first time living together.
Bridesmaid
Lindsay and I met our freshman year at ECU through a sorority we both joined, became super close through, and then decided to drop out of together (haha)! We lived in the same dorm & frequently met up at the dining hall for meals, one of which was right before she went on her first date with her now husband, Dylan. She is such a loyal friend who is always down for anything and we have so much fun together. I feel so lucky to have met Lindsay since our friendship is so easy and natural.
Bridesmaid
Kayleigh is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. We met the summer before sophomore year of college through mutual friends at ECU and have had so many fun memories ever since. I trust Kayleigh with my life and value her opinions and advice worth their weight of gold. Kayleigh fits right in with me and Jason and always adds so much joy to any outing she's a part of. She's also one of those people who you wouldn't necessarily expect to be funny at first, but turns out to make you laugh harder than almost anyone.
Bridesmaid
I met Priyanka through Enloe High School, but since she was in the grade above me making it so we didn't see each other much, we truly didn't become friends until afterwards. She has been friends with Jason since middle school and I'm so glad he brought her into my life. Pri radiates joy and is such an amazing person who you can 100% count on any time you need her. She was instrumental in setting up our proposal (more on that can be found on the home page) and I know and love that we will be lifelong friends. I will always cherish that we all got to live in Miami at the same time to share those amazing memories too.
Bridesmaid
Oh boy, explaining how I know Kayleigh is tricky but let's give this a shot! Kayleigh is Jason's high school best friend's college roommate's long distance girlfriend...did you follow that? Regardless, Kayleigh has a heart of gold and I'm so glad we stole her from Wisconsin. She is such a giving person who would bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. She's the hostess with the mostess always gathering friends together because of how much she values friendship. We have so many shared loves from traveling, to our pets, to wine, to Raleigh...she's so easy to hang out with and I know we will be close forever.
Flower Girl
Ellie babysat for Mollie and her sisters in high school and college and they are the sweetest girls ever! Ellie got to meet Mollie when she was a newborn and has gotten to watch her grow into the amazing 6 year old she is today. Mollie has taken her role of Flower Girl very seriously, including practicing the throwing of petals using ripped up tissues, and reading about the job in her book, "The Most Special Flower Girl."
Groom
Co-Best Man
I met Sean in 7th grade at a basketball camp. Although we didn't stay in touch after the camp, we reconnected right before freshman year of high school on the Enloe soccer team. Through C&C projects, college visits, and intense catan games, me and Sean have remained best friends. Me and Ellie were even honorary roommates during our one month in DC in the fall.
Co-Best Man
I met Goutham in high school and by senior year he lived with my family for a month while his family was traveling. We haven't lived within 600 miles of each other ever since, but have remained best friends despite the distance. Goutham is the friend I'm most likely to cook up a scheme with and even more likely to debate about whether or not it would work.
Groomsman
Derek is my brother-in-law! My first time meeting him as my sister's boyfriend was when he came to visit my family for a weekend in 2020 that then turned into a 2-month stay because of COVID. After lots of games, drinks, and supplying most of his wardrobe, he felt like my brother already when he left after those first two months. My first time being in a wedding was being his groomsman at my sister's wedding. I'm sure he'll outperform me as the groomsman job in this one!
Groomsman
Despite Jacob being a high school friend, I don't think we ever had a single class together. That turned out not to matter as he was quickly one of my best friends and stayed that way through today. Jacob and I have been everywhere together: from him visiting me in Chicago all 4 years of college to us going to France last year during the World Cup.
Groomsman
Bradley and I probably met in elementary school when we had the same band teacher but we don't remember it. Bradley can bring the fun into any situation which is probably why there's very few things I don't remember doing with him. From playing tennis to filming Tik Toks and from talking fantasy football to visiting llama vineyards and midwestern colleges, Bradley has been there to make it a good time.
Groomsman
Bennett and I met early in high school but really became friends senior year when it seemed like Bennett, Goutham, and I spent every day together for months before we went off to college. By the end of those 4 years, Bennett and I had been to music festivals and European backpacking trips together and I can't imagine getting married without him by my side.
Groomsman
Marty was my first friend in college. I met him on move-in day when my dad fixed the broken window in his dorm room. After instantly becoming best friends, we lived together for 2 of the next 3 years in college while quizzing each other on obscure college basketball knowledge, usually between the hours of 2 and 4am.
Groomsman
Dillan and I became friends in college when I lived across the hall from him my junior year. He lived in a triple room with only 1 roommate, so I filled the void of the missing roommate by eating all his scooby snacks. Dillan and I have been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and on golf trips in Florida, but perhaps our best travels were the monthly hour-long drives to the nearest Moes while in college. Luckily I haven't had to drive that far to see him the last couple of years since he moved to Chapel Hill to go to UNC Law.
Ring Bearer
Soren is Ellie's cousin's son, and the coolest beach boy around. As a 3 year old skateboarder, he's cooler than anyone else at the wedding, that's for sure. He's the first baby of the cousins and keeps us all entertained at every family gathering with his love of yoga, dancing, and being silly.
