Flight
Been wanting to visit Europe but Croatia hasn't made your list yet? There are numerous airlines that fly to Croatia, connecting in several European cities. Below are just some examples: Rome to Dubrovnik (1 hour, 20 minutes flight) Athens to Dubrovnik (1 hour, 30 minutes flight) Paris to Dubrovnik (2 hours, 15 minutes flight) Munich to Dubrovnik (1 hour, 25 minutes flight) Dubrovnik has its own airport. It is a small airport and there are no direct flights from Southern California. In the past we have flown using Lufthansa Airlines, connecting in Germany. A flight from LAX, with connections, generally is 16 hours. We know that flying to Europe is a huge expense and we appreciate everyone that is even considering attending our wedding. As you already know, Scott and I travel often. We both have a Capital One Venture card. We use it for our everyday purchases and the miles add up so fast. We have not paid for either one of our flights to Spain, Italy, and Greece! Also, with this card, you can use miles on several different airlines that travel to Europe. There are also other credit cards out there that offer the same benefits, so please check that out as an option. Currently there is a 75,000 bonus miles offer. Rental Car
Dubrovnik Airport is located approximately 12 miles south of Old Town Dubrovnik. If you only plan on staying in the Old Town, then we do not recommend renting a car, as parking in the Old Town can be difficult and expensive. Scott and I have traveled throughout Croatia by rental car with no issues.
