Netu

Maid of Honor

I sat here for a while attempting to put into words who Netu is, and what she means to me and ended up in tears. Netu is generous, opinionated, intelligent and a force of freaking nature. We first met at work, where her first words to me were something along the lines of “Are you dumb?” not as an insult, but as a general inquiry. I somehow immediately knew the girl with a crackhead looking badge picture was gonna be a part of my life forever. Eventually I met her husband Gabe, and more importantly their fur children Willie and Waylon. I spent most of my time at their apartment where they would feed me, cloth me (when I drunkenly lost it) and made me feel valued. Netu no longer lives down the road from me, but her place in my heart is as near and dear as ever. She is an incredible momma to Bonnie, our precious flower girl and continues to inspire me everyday. To make a long story short: Netu is my person.

Kelsey

Bridesmaid

The kind of friendship that you see on TV, where one friend walks into the others without knocking and immediately opens their fridge… that is the kind of friendship I have with Kelsey. Unfortunately for her (and especially her husband, Cody) I am the friend that walks in and I now live less than a mile from her. The incredible thing about Kelsey is that she has ALWAYS welcomed me in with open arms, and a lecture when I needed it. Kelsey is funny, giving and very responsible. She is the friend that reminds you not to accept anything less than what you deserve from any situation, or anyone… including yourself. Knowing Kelsey has been in my corner for 4 years now, through various different eras of my life makes me walk a little taller, and makes me proud to be deserving of such a friend. I don’t have sisters of my own, but through chosen family I have found a great one in Kelsey.

Miranda

Bridesmaid

The phrase Twin Flame refers to a person who is thought to be the other half of one's soul. Miranda perfectly encompasses that description. Few people in life are able to see the absolute darkest, rawest and worst parts of a person and love them despite it all but we have definitely found that in each other. Miranda and I first met in 2022, and immediately bonded over our music taste, weird humor and the phases of life we were/are in. Although we have only known each other for 3 years, we have done a lot of growing up together in such a short amount of time. It is a blessing to have someone by your side that grows with you, and experiences things alongside you. Not only that, but to have the kind of friend who can go to a Shrek rave with you one night, then turn around and have a family day the next… that is definitely the kind of friend you hold onto! From our literal scream sessions in the car (it’s called self care, look it up) to holding me while I cry, I know without a doubt Miranda is someone I can count on for anything in my life with absolute zero judgment. Forever grateful for a sister like that.

Priscella

Bridesmaid

I know many people have heard of the term “Golden Retriever vibes”… that does NOT describe Priscella. Priscella gives off Doberman vibes. She is fierce, honest, protective and loyal. She is the type of friend that consistently makes me feel truly special to be her friend, because I know it is a privilege to be. I have never met someone so true to themselves, and so outspoken for fairness, authenticity and the people she loves. We met Priscella through our groomsmen Luis, who introduced us to her after they began dating. They have 2 adorable fur babies, 2 weenie dogs named Milo and Georgie. We regularly go on “double dates” (although we thankfully never call them that), game nights together are a regular thing, and they always feed us yummy food they make. One of my favorite activities is adult day dates that Priscella and I have, where we go to different small grocery stores and markets and shop together while chatting away. If there is one person I know that values the same qualities in a person, it is her. What a privilege to have her stand with me on such an important day!

Robby

Best Man

Robby and I first met at work many years ago, and it didn't take too long for us to become close friends. Over the years we have bonded over the good and bad at work, our shared love for books and reading, UT football, and countless conversations about life. He is the kind of friend who always challenges me to be better in every aspect of life and has been there for me through numerous milestones. I couldn't imagine standing up there on my wedding day without him by my side.

Luis

Groomsman

Luis and I first met at our part time job and we've been good friends ever since. Whether it's kicking back and enjoying good times or sticking to our yearly tradition of catching the Astros opening weekend games, we always find a way to make lasting memories. He's been a solid friend through it all, and I'm grateful to have him standing with me on my big day.

Brandie

Groomswoman

Brandie was Jasmine's friend first, but I like to think I stole her along the way. We quickly bonded over our shared love for baseball, similar mannerisms, and the same sense of humor that keeps us laughing no matter what. She's become an incredible friend, and I'm honored to have her standing with me on our big day.

Dominic

Groomsman

My nephew Dominic is not only my sister's son but also my only nephew, which makes having him as part of my wedding party even more special. From the moment he arrived, a few months early at that, we have shared a love for baseball, and it's been awesome watching him grow up into an incredible young man but also a great ball player. I'm proud to have him standing by my side on such an important day. Even if he is a Yankees fan.

Erick

Officiant

I've known Erick since I was 18 years old and besides my parents, no one has had a greater influence on my life. He has been there for the good times and the bad. He's been a mentor, a friend, a boss, and someone I can always count on- whether it's for advice, a good laugh, or even driving across town for tacos at 3 a.m. I couldn't imagine anyone more fitting to officiate our wedding and be a part of this unforgettable moment. - Robert The first time I met Erick was the first time I visited Robert at his fire station. Robby left on a call and while I was more than ready to sit in my car and wait, Erick invited me in and immediately made me feel welcome. Since then, he has been one of our biggest supporters. Knowing your boyfriends (and then fiancé) best friend and mentor is rooting for your relationship, keeping accountability and giving good advice is an underrated privilege. In a world of bad characters and morals, Erick is a true example of a good man and friend. He is also a great husband and father. When I suggested to Robert that he officiate our wedding, it was very quickly a no brainer for us. We are very grateful for him! - Jasmine
