I guess I owe it to ResLife for my friendship with Jared & Kaylynne. Staying up until 12am to make sure the entire hall didn't go crazy really brought us all together. Kaylynne was definitely the wild one, but all it took was to walk across the quad & before we knew it hours had gone by venting, crying, or laughing about any & everything. It wasn't long before Jared became the topic of all our conversations and soon after a mutual friend and I swooped in to play match maker. Now, years later, we couldn't have hoped for a better ending. I've been blessed to see the progression from "I think I like him" to "I know I love him", from dorm rooms to new homes, and from "I do's" to forever. I'm blessed to be a part of Kaylynne and Jared's amazing story. Here's to the future Mr. and Mrs. Matthews!

Kaylynne and I met during RA training. Kaylynne had been an RA long before I was, so I knew that I could go to her if I had any concerns. Not sure what I asked her at the time, but we had a brief conversation and we instantly clicked. Little did I know that Kaylynne was going to become one of my closest friends/line sister. Kaylynne and I were inseparable. Anywhere you saw Kay, you saw me. During the course I met Jared as well. Jared was instantly like a brother to me. I always admired Kaylynne and Jared's love story. Kaylynne and Jared's love for each other is something rare. Something that you do not see often anymore, especially within people in our age group. So, I knew that they would be together forever. I met Kaylynne in my first year of being a Resident Assistant. She helped and guided me through training, which aided in our friendship today. Kaylynne has been such a great friend to me- helping me navigate who I am as a student and also a person. She's almost like my older sister. She takes care of those around her, and she has the biggest heart! It is not easy to come across someone with such a kind and genuine heart. When I met Jared, I could see that with his demeanor that he was the one for Kaylynne! It's unbelievable how these two mashed together perfectly. It is not easy to find these kind of people in your life nowadays, and I am so thankful I know them.
