We’re Getting Married!

Kassi, was born and raised in Nashville, TN. Growing up she was into many different things. She rode horses, participated in gymnastics, and loved playing outdoors. As she got older her interests changed to sports of which she played softball and basketball at the varsity level. Basketball was her true love while playing for her school team and travel AAU teams. Upon graduation she moved onto college, first going to The University Of Tennessee Chattanooga before transferring to The University of Western Kentucky. She graduated from there in 2015 with a degree in nutrition dietetics and hospitality management. She worked as a nutritionist at Vanderbilt Hospital for a few years before getting into the hospitality scene. She has worked at a few different establishments ranging from hotels to restaurants. In the summer of 2021 she found her place at Big Machine Distillery. She is the general manager of the downtown location and also is in charge of the events for both locations in Nashville. Kassi’s personality is what shines the most with anyone that meets her. This has led to countless opportunities for her and is ultimately what helped bring her and Jared together. Jared was born in Portsmouth, VA, but was raised in Virginia Beach, VA. Growing up he spent many days at the beach and outside with his friends. In his high school years and beyond he spent most of those days surfing. He played baseball from a young age, but stopped playing in 6th grade to run track which he continued to do until the completion of his 11th grade year. He also started playing music in 6th grade. He played in school band through 10th grade. While school band wasn’t his favorite all the time, drum set is where he shined. After graduation he attended Tidewater Community College for 1 semester before leaving to join the Navy. He enlisted in the United States Navy in July of 2013. Upon completion of boot camp and subsequent schooling, he moved back to his hometown and was stationed in Norfolk, VA at Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 9 where he would go on two deployments with the air wing attached to the USS George H.W. Bush. Music continued to follow him in the Navy, playing in boot camp and his ships band on his second deployment. After finishing his contract in 2017, he got out and enrolled back in school at Tidewater Community College for the spring, summer, and fall semester of 2018 before transferring to The University of Alabama. There, he pursued a degree in advertising before switching to Hospitality Management in which he graduated in May of 2021. He worked for a hotel company during this time as well. Music also followed him to Tuscaloosa, AL playing the college circuit and frat parties until he moved to Nashville shortly following graduation. Upon arriving in Nashville, he started playing for his current artist Levi Orr while also working as a supervisor at a Hilton hotel. 4 months after moving to Nashville, he left the hotel to put all his time and effort into music which he currently does full time. He has played in numerous bars downtown and been to 13 states since moving to town. He has found his way into a few music videos including Levi Orr’s video that debuted on CMT.com. He also does some work with Big Machine Distillery and their spiked coolers brand from time to time. His drumming is actually what lead to meeting Kassi as she ended up coming to a few shows downtown to see a friend that was playing with his band. Many months would go by before they ever spoke more than a casual hello. The day they said more than hello, was the day it all changed… Now Kassi and Jared live together in Hendersonville, TN in their new home.
