Things To Do

We are so excited that you will be joining us for our special day! Below, you can find some of our favorite places to eat and visit. We hope you enjoy your stay in Southwestern, PA!
Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh is a city in western Pennsylvania at the junction of 3 rivers. Its Gilded Age sites, including the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, speak to its history as an early-20th-century industrial capital. In the North Shore neighborhood are the modern Andy Warhol Museum, Heinz Field football stadium and PNC Park baseball stadium. Jared and I go up to the city every now and again for events with friends, to watch sports games, and to eat at our favorite restaurant: The Melting Pot. There is so much to see and do in Pittsburgh! It is a city packed with history. We also frequent a hobby shop that's within walking distance of Station Square.

Sarris Candies

Sarris Candies

511 Adams Avenue, Canonsburg, PA 15317

Sarris Candies, Inc., is a specialty chocolate and candies company based in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, approximately 18 miles (29 km) southwest of Pittsburgh. It was founded in 1960 by Frank Sarris. It has its own old-fashioned Ice cream parlor complete with period-style, red and brass booths and shimmering crystal chandeliers.[5] Today, the Sarris Chocolate Factory and Ice Cream Parlour fill an area the size of a football field with over 100 yards of chocolate, penny candy, ice cream and lifelike plush toys.[5] Sarris' candies can be found at hundreds of annual fundraising events to kiosks in more than 500 Hallmark stores around the country. Sarris Chocolate is some of the best around, and they don't play around when you order ice cream. A small is not all that small. This is one of Jared and my favorite places to go for a sweet, special treat. Their chocolate covered pretzels are to die for!
