Question

What am I going to eat?

Answer

There is no shortage of food options around. Check out the 'Things to Do' tab for some great options close by from coffee to tacos to some local seafood. Dinner on Friday night is at the Pickled Fish which is located at the Adrift Hotel (Shelburne's sister hotel). You can check out the restaurant's menu here: https://www.pickledfishrestaurant.com/menus/ We'll make one reservation, but plan to go dutch for dinner. Saturday - There will be lunch in the dining room at the Shelburne that will be buffet style while we are all setting up and decorating. There will also be snacks and dinner provided after the ceremony.

Question

What weather should I pack for?

Answer

If you've asked what you should wear, you've been told to 'wear whatever you're comfortable in'. Seriously! The weather, as of now, looks like a high of 60 and lows in the mid 40's. It's October on the coast in Washington so expect wet and windy. Layers are certainly a good idea and don't forget to bring your umbrella. We'll spend plenty of time on the beach over the weekend so you'll want to bring comfy shoes.

Question

What do the Shelburne & Adrift offer?

Answer

The Shelburne and Adrift are sister hotels located 1.1 miles apart. Our rooms will be split between the two. The Shelburne offers a pub with a cozy hangout feel. They also have the dining room with a hyper-seasonal menu with a focus on local fare. The Inglenook offers billiards and table top shuffleboard. The Parlor is their comfortable lounge at the heart of the Shelburne. Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee, or grab a beer from the pub. Their gardens are filled with sculptures, flowers and thriving herb and vegetable beds. Enjoy a quiet drink in this peaceful space. The also offer complimentary bikes to enjoy the area. The Adrift Hotel is located on the beach of the Washington Peninsula. They have similar offerings as the Shelburne, including complimentary bikes that you can borrow. In addition to their onsite restaurant, The Pickled Fish, they also have an onsite distillery, spa, game room, live music, and an outdoor fire-pit.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Nope, be comfortable and dress warmly. It will be October on the coast and we are hoping to hold the ceremony outside on the beach. Jackets, layers, and umbrellas are strongly recommended.

Question

Any transportation services from our hotel to the wedding site?

Answer

Not currently; If you are without your own transportation, PLEASE contact us so that we may help with carpooling logistics and other solutions.

Question

What happens if your beach ceremony is ruined by the weather?

Answer

We get wet. Unless it's miserable and we can move things inside at the Shelburne.

Question

How far way is the ceremony from reception?

Answer

The Shelburne Hotel is located 3.2 miles or approximately 6 minutes away from Cape Disappointment.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We're not. Please do not bring gifts. We have everything we need and won't have space to transport anything home. We are so grateful for that you are all taking time out of your lives to come be part of our special day. That is everything that we want.

For all the days along the way
