How We Met

Wait, how do you know her?

We met at a mutual high school friend's sweet 16 party. Janella was friends with Jonathan's twin brother (Joseph) and was completely unaware that he was a twin. When arriving at the party Joseph was walking to say hi to Janella when his twin Jonathan (groom) said: "wait, how do you know her?" At the time Jonathan believed her to be 21 rather than 15 .... (AWKWARD) Joseph proceeded in introducing the bride and groom to be. They spent the rest of the night getting to know each other. As the night approached to an end Jonathan, very smoothly, asked for a photo which led him to saying it could be her contact photo. And the rest? Well, that is a story for another time ;)

Proposal

October 5th, 2019

Jonathan proposed to Janella at the US Bank Tower Skyspace. What Janella thought was meant to be a date-night but turned into an unforgettable proposal. The day of everyone kept pushing Janella to go get her nails done because she had recently painted them herself and of all colors, she painted them black ... YES, black!! Janella joked and said she didn't have to go get her nails done because it wasn't like Jonathan was going to propose! (Yikes) As you can see from pictures she really did not see it coming! When they arrived at the tower they were required to go through a metal detector in which Jonathan smoothly hid the ring. He mentioned to Janella that what if he was going to propose that night and the surprise would have gotten ruined because of the metal detector. Janella did not think much of his comment instead she brushed it off and said well good thing you aren't so there is no need to worry! When they made it to the top of the tower Jonathan did not expect it to be so crowed to the point where he would not be able to get down on one knee. He texted Janella's family to let them know that it wasn't going to happen that night. Thankfully though as the hours passed people left which left Jonathan and Janella sitting outside talking about their future while watching the LA lights. As they talked of their future and were getting ready to leave Janella saw her family in the reflection of the mirror, her heart started to race. Jonathan and Janella stood up where she was surprised with her family and then surprised by the sight of Jonathan getting down on one knee asking for her hand. The rest of the night was filled with love, happiness, and A LOT of happy tears! #SHESAIDYES
