Groom
Father of the Bride
Jane gets her love of tuna salad with jalapenos on an English muffin, appreciation of classic "Pink Panther" movies, and any semblance of athletic ability from her dad. The picture of cool, calm, and collected, Jack has been the rock of the family and an amazing role model.
Father of the Groom
Dennis (affectionately known as D Dog) has always been, and has strived to be, the exemplary father figure to his sons as modeled after the dad in “Leave it to Beaver.” Go to him if you want to hear embarrassing stories about the groom when he was little.
Mother of the Bride
Jane owes her love of these things to her mom: couponing, redeeming cans and bottles, "What about Bob?," and saying “sheesh” before it became trendy. Peggy was incredibly involved and influential in her daughters' and grandchildren's lives. Growing up with two brothers, she made sure we appreciated the "sisterhood" that we have. We know Peggy will be with us in spirit on the big day.
Mother of the Groom
Not one for the spotlight, Linda always appreciates a hug from her son while standing on the kitchen step so that she is at eye level with him. They share a love of the outdoors and lake life, going so far as to be the first mom at a boy scout camping event that her son will never forget.
Bridesmaid
Throughout life, Jane has copied most of Julie’s life choices - studying French instead of Spanish, taking piano lessons and Choir class, playing various sports, participating in musical theater, and living abroad. Currently they both continue another hobby that Julie initially started in her youth (and Jane subsequently copied) - tap dancing - and have convinced several friends to join the class as well.
Groomsman
The older brother who paved the way for the younger and taught him how to drive, play hockey, and navigate high school life. They share a love of condiments, puppies, and spoiling his kids with toys.
Bridesmaid
Mary Kate and Jane have shared an affinity for Barbies, Power Rangers, Spice Girls, and adult kickball for many a year. Mary Kate had to put up with Jane following her and her friends around in middle and high school, but we think she’s finally over it now. Fellow teachers, they both enjoy a good wig night at karaoke.
Groomsman
Roommate of Steve’s at Uconn and then later in West Hartford on Loomis Drive. Ryan has always been an eager happy hour partner and selflessly filled in for Steve by accompanying Jane when he was deployed overseas.
Bridesman
Jane met Steve - also known as Spicy Steve, Other Steve, Slightly Larger Steve, and (his personal least favorite) Kickball Steve - not surprisingly on her first kickball team 8 years ago. While their kickball prowess still continued through this summer despite attempting to retire last year, they are thankfully great friends beyond the adult “sport.” Both teachers, they frequently commiserate about the lack of snow days, delays, and early dismissals.
Groomsman
Long time high school friend of Steve’s, he has been a prominent part of his life even when hundreds of miles apart. Together they have upwards of three “prom pose” photos so that should pretty much sum it up.
Flower Girl
Zuzu has been asking us when we were going to get married since probably the first time she met Steve. Jane also got to delve into the world of the Warrior Cats book series thanks to Zuzu’s high praise.
Groomsman
Bino was a high school friend whom Steve reconnected with when he came to Uconn to complete his degree in Physical Therapy. Tim had reached out on Facebook looking for a place to live, and much to the dismay of his physical health, Steve was looking for an additional roommate at “Grease House.”
Flower Girl
Ingrid and Jane both revel in being the baby of their respective families. They also both enjoy being ferried around by Steve in our favorite pool float - a dachshund named Mr. Bean.
Flower Girl
Daughter of Eric and Madysen, she will be the curly, blond haired, blue eyed, little girl throwing flowers around at the ceremony.
Ring Bearer
Timmy is not only Jane’s favorite first nephew, but also her favorite piano student extraordinaire! Timmy and Jane share a love of awkward dabbing, even years after it was cool.
Ring Bearer
Nephew of the groom who is an avid truck enthusiast and enthusiastic high-fiver. Be sure to tell him what make and color vehicle you drive and he will forever know you by that alone.
