The ceremony is at the venue, but a 5 minutes walk from the cocktail and reception area. Wagon rides will take you to the ceremony so be sure to arrive with enough time to ‘hitch’ a ride to the ceremony site.
There are many great VRBO/Airbnb options in the area. It's a little further of a drive, but Maple Grove (if you're from out of town) has a lot of great hotels and LOTs of food options and shopping. We recommend staying near The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes area (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Costco, and an outdoor mall etc.). Do check the drive time to and from the venue wherever you land so you can plan your travel accordingly. We do not have any hotels blocked.
Think garden party attire. Sunglasses welcomed. Our bridal party is wearing green hues (sage/olive) so trend away from that if not wanting to look like part of the Love Club, and all white/cream/off-white is reserved for the Bride/Groom. We want you to feel fancy. Dress your best. Have fun. We love and support all black if that's your comfort space - just stay away from jeans. If we have to get dressed up - so do you!
There will be some walking in the grass path near the parking lot and ceremony portion - pick what works best for you!
Hype. We have the most amazing caterer! Jan's cousins own the best new restaurant in the metro-quite literally, AND are a finalist for a James Beard Foundation award. Luckily, you'll get to taste the deliciousness created by Oro by Nixta. Foodies, come hungry.
Our ceremony is outdoors, and the reception will be inside a tent -> dress according to the weather that day and stay hydrated! Also, it's August. Please wear sunscreen. Sunscreen streaks are totally acceptable. We care about your health.
If enjoying the city for a few days, there are concerts, Twins baseball games, and lots of parks (Minneapolis Sculpture Garden), and Minneapolis Institute of Art & Como Zoo (always free-donations welcomed). Mall of America is located near the airport if wanting to do some shopping before flying out.
We do ask that they remained supervised at all times due to the venue's requirements. We ask that smaller children stay off the dance floor without an adult so they don’t get injured as it can get a little crazy and people aren’t always watching where they are going while bustin’ a move.
