Rental Car
If you're planning to stay downtown, a rental car isn't necessary. There is plenty to do within walking distance and if you want to take a trip outside of downtown, most of our favorite activities are a 15 minute Uber/Lyft ride away

Although a bit further, the San Antonio airport is another option to get you close to Austin. The San Antonio airport is about 1 hour and 15 mins from downtown Austin
