High Altitude & Weather Tips:
Adjusting to the higher altitude in Aspen is one of the most important things to do to feel your best and fully enjoy your stay. The town of Aspen is approximately 8,000 feet above sea level. Since it is easy to become dehydrated at high altitudes, please drink PLENTY of water. Don't forget to lather on the sunscreen as the sun is very strong here. Take it easy on your first day and try to limit alcohol. With alcohol, one drink will hit you like two.
As you plan your activities keep in mind that Rocky Mountain weather in June is often cool in the morning and evening, but sunny and warm throughout most of the day. Temperatures can range from highs in the 80's to lows of 40 degrees. It is important to be prepared for all weather conditions, so bring an extra layer or rain jacket when you go out to explore and in the evening.
Have fun and enjoy this beautiful place we call home!!
