Despite growing up a mere five miles from each other, and having been born five years apart, it took half a lifetime and the frigid waters of San Francisco Bay to bring us together. We met at the South End Rowing Club practicing a shared love of cold water swimming. We continued to cross paths at the club or at Yoga Beach in the Outer Sunset. Then, after not seeing each other for a couple years during the pandemic, a serendipitous encounter at a Mother Hips concert was all the spark needed to ignite a spontaneous romantic combustion, rocketing us on a collision course towards impending nuptials.
We don’t want gifts! By attending our wedding, you are sacrificing valuable time and money. We do not expect gifts from our guests-- your company is the greatest gift you can give us. That being said, we know it can be frustrating if one wants to give something and there is no system for doing so. We have included a Honeymoon Fund and charitable donations to Los Cabos Humane Society. We thank you for your generosity.
We love your kids! But when we started running the numbers on how many great children our friends have, we realized we'd be running a summer camp on our wedding weekend. We hope you can call in some favors, leave those punks at home, and enjoy a couple extra margaritas by the pleasant, kid-free poolside. Babes in arms (~1 year old and under) are welcome. We will be checking birth certificates.
