Glacial Hills Pathway and Natural Area

Torch Bay Nature Preserve

Traverse City

Some short hikes and a historic lighthouse. The drive up Old Mission Peninsula is worth doing alone.

Old Mission Point Park

Great place to get a good mountain bike ride in!

VASA Singletrack Trailhead

Cool spot for a short hike! The trail system includes approximately 2 miles of trail and can be extended with a walk on the beach.

Maple Bay Natural Area

Cool hiking area just south of Traverse City. A dam was recently removed. The view from the bluffs provides an interesting view of the old pond footprint and the river reclaiming it's path.

Brown Bridge Quiet Area

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Leland

Cool hiking spot with about 5 miles of trails and a lake. Mountain biking is allowed.
