James has a fond memory dating back to December 2001, when the Olympic Torch came through Leesburg. The W&OD trail is a staple for the endurance-minded folks of Leesburg, Virginia. The W&OD trail starts in Purcellville, VA and goes all the way into Arlington, VA. The trail goes right through Leesburg and an easy place to hop on the trail is at Loudoun County High School where James attended. The trail has a paved path and the "horse trail" option, which provides a softer surface and a hillier terrain.
