Question

Will there be a bar/can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

Our venue does not permit alcohol of any type. This paired with Biblical beliefs is why we will not be serving or permitting any alcohol on the premise. Thank you for your cooperation.

What should I do during the reception?

Answer

Enjoy yourself! This is a day to celebrate, and we want everyone to enjoy the day just as much as we will. There will be a board games, group games, speeches, small activities, advice cards, a coffee bar, and so many people to meet/enjoy the evening with.

Will there be handicapped parking?

Answer

There will be a section toward the front of the parking area that is for handicapped guests. We ask that if you are able bodied, please be considerate of the ones who may need to park a bit closer.

Where will I park?

Answer

The drive way up to the venue is made of gravel. There is a larger plot that some will be able to park onto, but some will need to park on the grass along the drive way. Please do not park at the houses to the front of the driveway.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress is Sunday best. If you feel like being on theme, we encourage you to wear darker gem tones. (Burgundy, Navy, Emerald, Plum, etc.) We do ask that everyone dress modestly. This is extremely important to us for our day. Thank you for respecting our beliefs.

Where can I send my gifts/What should I get?

Answer

If you feel generous, and wish to help us build our home, we would love for you to follow the link to our registry. Give as much or little as you wish to. There are several gifts that are favorited that we are looking forward to the most. Thank you!

Where is the venue? How do I get there?

Answer

Our amazing venue is The Glass House Venue. It is located at 892 County Road 219, Skyline, AL 35768. There will be signs along the way to guide guests to the venue.

Will the ceremony be outdoors or indoors?

Answer

Our plan A is to have an outdoor wedding in the cool Alabama December. Of course it’s Alabama so it could be 90° or 30°. We have a plan B where the ceremony will be indoors for cases of rain or extreme cold. Any update in these situation will be posted to the website.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We ask that only the people specifically given a plus on on the invitation bring one. Please also give this persons information when you RSVP. If you were not given a plus one please do not bring a plus one. This is to keep the numbers we give to our vendors as accurate as possible. If there are extra heads we did not prepare for then that means some people may not have a seat or food.

What are we going to do with kids?

Answer

Bring them! There will be activities and games that all ages of kids and teens will enjoy. If you would like a weekend away from kids then they are also welcome to stay at home.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Our dinner will be catered by our amazing Glass House Venue caterers. There will be various options to eat that we are sure everyone will enjoy. If there are any concerns of dietary restrictions or allergies please reach out in advance.
