FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

January 4th, 2023 . We understand it is a month before the wedding, but to ensure we have the proper amount of food and beverages, we need a concrete number ahead of time.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Guests must be on the guest list or spoken to bride or groom about prior to January 4th (the RSVP cut off date).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all our guests the opportunity to let their hair down and enjoy themselves, we’ve elected to make our wedding an adult only event.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Casual attire. Jeans are permitted, but please no flip flops or T-shirt’s. Thank you!

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Floridians know how it is in February, it’s a hit or miss when it comes to expecting cold weather. Keep in mind, the reception will be at night, so it will be chilly. We will have a fire pit going. Please consider bringing a jacket as it is all outside.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #JCNewportWedding so we can keep track of all of your pictures! Any pictures taken, please also email to newports02112023@gmail.com so that we can cherish all the memories for years to come!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, of course! Please message James or Carter prior to January 4th & we will make sure we make special accommodations for you.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The ceremony & reception are at the same venue and plenty of parking will be available. We do highly recommend considering an Uber or having a designated driver as there will be an open bar. Please drink responsibly (:

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Amazon and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Bother under Carter Odom & James Newport.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
