Maid of Honor
Abbey and Amber have been best friends since their freshmen year of high school. They played volleyball together all through high school, visited each other all through college, and lived together for years after. The groom even says, "There's no way we'll ever be able to live farther than 5 miles away from Amber," because she's such an important part of both of their lives. We love our Amber!
Maid of Honor
Kayla and Abbey have always been a duo since they were born (well, almost - Abbey was born 3 months to the day after Kayla!). They grew up reading the same books, playing mermaids, singing Hilary Duff, and running from their brothers. They have always been there for each other their entire lives. Fun fact: Kayla is the ONE person who could give Abbey a run for her money when it comes to who is the bigger Harry Potter fan.
Bridesmaid
Haley and Abbey met in college and were immediate friends. They lived together for years through college, and it still wasn't enough, so they lived together for another year after. Haley even road-tripped out west with Abbey when she got her internship after they graduated. After surviving going to college in the middle of nowhere, living together for four years, and driving across the country (including through a tornado), they both know that nothing will ever come in the way of their friendship. (In fact, Haley proposed to Abbey before James did - she's got him beat there!)
Bridesmaid
Kaitlyn and Abbey met in college and became fast friends. They really became close when they were both chosen to be Peer Leaders and led freshmen orientation at their school. They got even closer when Abbey got kicked off campus for their summer housing (long story) and Kaitlyn was kind enough to live with her off-campus so she wasn't alone. They have been best friends ever since. Kaitlyn is the one person who Abbey communicates with more than anyone else in her life - in fact, when Apple updated Messages so you could pin your conversations, Kaitlyn was listed as #1, even before James.
Bridesmaid
Jen grew up on the same street as Abbey and Sean. She is the sister Abbey never had. From playing Club Penguin, to kayaking and jumping on the trampoline, to staying up until the ball drops on New Years Eve together in PJs and playing Wii Fit, the memories are endless. However, it's not just Abbey with these memories. Back in the day, when James had a crush on Abbey, Jen is the one he talked to about it! She will definitely be celebrating at the wedding and you can catch her on the dancefloor - she'll be tearing it up.
Best Man
Est. 2014 - After hanging out for the first time in 2014, Jake and James were quick friends and roommates. 10 years, a few dozen concerts, countless golf course squabbles, and a couple of beers later, Jake accepted his role as Best Man in the most Jake Ricci way possible “Uh, duh dude!”. James is anxiously awaiting his best man’s speech although he is moderately terrified of how much dirt he has on him after all these years.
Groomsman
Est. 2017 - James met Andrew on New Years Eve 2017 where he was promptly poisoned by a bottle of bottom-shelf champagne. This brought his and Maid-of-Honor Amber’s night to an unceremonious end. Since then Andrew and James become unofficial roommates who passed many a day during COVID watching TV and avoiding work on Abbey and Amber's couch.
Groomsman
Est. 2010 - After being fierce rivals on the Little League baseball diamond, James and Mike became friends in High School and better friends after college. A proud fantasy football commissioner and James’ top softball assistant manager, you can always count on Mike to bring a—to put it lightly—competitive attitude to anything he does, especially Dave and Buster arcade games.
Groomsman
Est. 2007 - Jordan and James met on the basketball court, leading their rec basketball team to a miraculous last-second championship victory thanks to an unbelievably high basketball IQ play by James. Today James and Jordan enjoy playing golf together, even though Jordan wipes the floor with him at every turn. Despite this James and Jordan remain good friends who bond over the finer things in life like country music, Big Buck Hunter, and Busch Light.
Groomsman
After being drafted to the same little league team in 2006, James and Zack went on to lead TJ Homebuilders to a 17-1 championship season in 2007, both vying for the EWG home run crown that year. Since then James and Zach have enjoyed countless football Sundays together in Zach's basement, AKA the best bar in West Exeter. He coined the phrase “Never let a Monday ruin your Sunday” —Zach Cooney never has, and never will.
Officiant
Sean is Abbey's brother and built-in-best-friend. Everyone who knows him already knows how great he is, so we'll keep this short. If you haven't met him, here's a pro tip: get him a glass of Prosecco at the wedding, and you've made a new friend.
