Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Marianne Broome and James Dickerson
Here are a few spots in the area that we love. Hope you get to do some exploring while you're in town!

Henry Public

329 Henry Street, Cobble Hill, NY 11201

One of our favorite spots - we've had many fun date nights here. Great spot for a drink or Saturday brunch!

Colonie

127 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201

A+ Saturday brunch spot. Get the mushroom pate and Turkish eggs!

French Louie

320 Atlantic Avenue, Boerum Hill, NY 11201

This is where we had lunch after our courthouse marriage ceremony. Classic French brunch spot.

Defonte's Sandwich Shop

379 Columbia Street, Red Hook, NY 11231

Iconic Italian sandwich counter dating back to the 1920s! Off the beaten path but so worth it. Opens at 6am!

New York Transit Museum

99 Schermerhorn Street, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201

Cool museum dedicated to the NY subway. Great for kids!

Brooklyn Museum

200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11238

For anyone who is craving a little culture, the Brooklyn Museum is definitely worth a visit.

Jane's Carousel

Dock Street, Dumbo, NY 11201

Classic carousel with iconic views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges!

Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket

Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11215

The best and biggest farmers market in Brooklyn next to the beautiful Grand Army Plaza Arch, which is looking better than ever having just been restored and cleaned. Great people watching and the perfect place to pick up a unique souvenir - we recommend a bottle of dry hard cider from NY Cider Co.

Brooklyn Heights Promenade

Pierrepont Place, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201

A gorgeous walk with perfect Manhattan and Statue of Liberty views on one side and droll-worthy Brooklyn real estate on the other side. There's also a cute playground (with bathrooms) in the middle.

DAE

385 Smith Street, Carroll Gardens, NY 11231

Right by the wedding venue. A Korean coffee and gift shop so beautifully curated that they had to ban all photos to keep the TikTok-ers away.

Brooklyn Inn

148 Hoyt Street, Boerum Hill, NY 11217

Cozy old-school bar, perfect for a night cap.
