We love because he first loved us

God divinely crafted Sam and Jonathan's relationship from the moment they started at University of Maryland together. Their first one-on-one interaction was in a car ride home from Cru's fall retreat in 2017 when Sam and Jonathan shared their first of many car ride sing along experiences (clearly it was meant to be). During a year apart while Jonathan was on mission in Australia, Sam and Jonathan's individual relationships with the Lord deepened as He prepared them for the next chapter of their lives. Upon his return, Jonathan found himself at the same church and bible study as Sam which was the beginning of their relationship as more than just acquaintances. Over the following months, Sam and Jonathan got to know each other better as they watched one another serve, engage, and grow in church each week. One lovely November night in 2019, Jonathan called Sam (seemingly out of the blue) to ask her on their first date! After a few years of growing to more intimately know one another, Jonathan got down on one knee to start the journey of a lifetime together! We can't wait to add October 1, 2022 to our story as we invite you to share in the start of our marriage before God, family and friends.
