Dakota drug is know for its original soda fountain and the only surviving Whirl-A-Whip machine still being used. A Whirl-A-Whip is an ice cream treat that has candies or other ingredients mixed in.
It is a 9-hole course with grass greens and watered fairways. A lot of activity occurs at the course during the summer from special tournaments to weekly men's and women's nights. Call 701-628-2135 for more information.
The Regis Theatre is located at 114 South Main Street. Starting times for the movies are 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 7:30pm on Sundays.
The Ina Mae Rude Aquatic Center is a state of the art warm water therapy center built by native businessman Ray Rude, inventor of the Duraflex competition diving board, exclusively used at Olympic diving events since 1960. The therapeutic and exercise pool facility is located adjacent to Mountrail Bethel Home. The center is open to the public.
The Wilson Park is right on Highway 8. Children can also enjoy the jungle gym and other playground equipment in the same area. A double horseshoe pitching station, volleyball and basketball courts are also available in the park.
