Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be at the Freedom Hill Banquet and Event Center in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sport coat. Of course you are welcome to dress more formal if you desire.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside in a paved, but uncovered area. The cocktail hour/reception will take place inside. Please dress accordingly for the weather (i.e., if it is cold, bring a jacket). In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved inside.

When is the RSVP deadline? How do I RSVP?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is April 30, 2023. Please RSVP on the RSVP page of this website as soon as you know if you will be attending or not.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Freedom Hill Banquet and Event Center is off of 16 mile Rd between Schoenherr and Utica Rds. The banquet center shares a driveway with the Freedom Hill Amphitheater where our event will be displayed on the marquee. If you are unfamiliar with the area, please use your preferred map program or contact the wedding party for additional instructions.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so we can plan accordingly.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures outside for around an hour. Guests can head straight inside where the bar will be open and appetizers will be available.

Where should guests park?

Answer

The parking lot is immediately on your left when you come in through the main driveway for Freedom Hill. Parking is free and there is ample space available.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes we would love to have you and your little ones at our wedding celebration! Please make sure to RSVP for your children as well as yourselves so we can have an accurate headcount. There will be a separate children's meal available for children under 12.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation indicated "and Guest" you are welcome to bring one guest. We will only be able to accommodate the number of people listed on your invitation.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes we will have a buffet dinner, open bar, and cake for dessert. Please let us know as soon as possible of any dietary restrictions so we can try to best accommodate you.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered at Amazon, Target, and Bed Bath and Beyond.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

At this time we are unable to provide transportation. It is very easy in this area to get an Uber or Lyft and the recommended hotels are only approximately 4 miles away. Please contact us if you are unfamiliar with these platforms and we would be happy to help you schedule transportation.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Late May in Michigan is usually warm with high temperatures in the mid 70s, but temperatures can be warmer or colder than this. Please check the weather prior to arriving so you can dress accordingly.

What will the wedding-day timeline look like?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4pm, with cocktail hour immediately following. The open bar will start at the beginning of cocktail hour along with the salad bar and small appetizers. Dinner will be served at 6pm followed by cake cutting and dancing.
