For our wedding in September 2025, U.S. travelers do not need a visa for Spain! However, starting in mid-2025, the European Union is introducing a new travel requirement called ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System). What You Need to Know: ✔️ ETIAS authorization may be required (depending on the start date) ✔️ Simple online application (takes minutes, costs ~€7, valid for 3 years) ✔️ Applies to Spain & most of Europe We’ll keep you updated if ETIAS is needed for your trip. You can check for updates at www.etias.com. Closest Airport: Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport (MAD) Alternative Airport: Valencia Airport (VLC) Train Station: Toledo Railway Station (Toledo AVE) Travel Tip: Toledo is about a 30-minute drive from Madrid, so you may want to consider a car rental or private transfer. There are also buses and trains from Madrid to Toledo.
