Who would have thought a game of beer pong & a dirty dance floor would end up being the start of a perfect love story ! ! Rewind to a month prior when Cassie was sent a message via a mutual friend telling her that she needed to make an appearance at a birthday party so she could meet "this one guy" - A few minutes of Facebook stalking later Cassie ended up sending Jake a flirty message which lead to a real quick conversation that ended tragically awkward. So much so that she almost didn't make it to the party. But inevitably she did. She was sick to her stomach with nerves & she never would have guessed it but he was too. From the moment he approached her - all doubt & awkward feelings disappeared. After 5 straight games of killing it in beer pong together they found themselves glued to the dance floor & each other. The next day he asked her on their first date. They didn't fall in love overnight. In fact - Cassie made the relationship about as complicated as it could be in the beginning. But once he had her; their love & life together moved quickly. On July 5th they found out they would soon be parents & on March 6th, 2016 they met their son & greatest gift - Dash Alexander. Surely no one expected their love story to start out the way it did but no one now would be surprised that it's turned out the way it has. The two are incredibly, indefinitely & inevitably made for one another.

Let's face it - Jake isn't the greatest at surprises and Cassie in TRUE Cassie fashion was starting to get antsy for a proposal! If she wasn't going to ruin it for herself by dragging it out of him before the big moment then surly she would suspect something when the time would finally come!?! On Sunday, March 4th after opening gifts at Dash's second birthday party, in front of all of their family & some of their closest friends; Jake got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Blacked out from two glasses of red wine & utter shock, while wearing a messy bun & a mickey mouse sweat shirt Cassie ugly cried & screamed yes. Second to their son being born this moment was one of the rawest, happiest, most special moments of both of their lives. Without a doubt Jakob (the man who isn't much good at surprises) pulled off Cassie's dream of a surprise engagement.

We are getting married at one of our favorite places to go as a family. The Minnetonka Orchards in Minnetrista MN. The Ceremony, Cocktail Hour & Reception will all be held at the same place so no need to worry about killing time or mid day transportation.
