The future Weeds

Jake and Tori both met at a mutual friend’s house party in July of 2022. They both had no idea that when they showed up to this shindig, they were going to meet the love of their lives. They even got the chance to slow dance to a song together that night while out on the patio. The best part is no one else was around so they got to enjoy the moment themselves. After that Jake and Tori went on a few dates and became inseparable. They began officially dating in September of 2022. They would hangout any chance they got, whether it was going to dinner at Mexican restaurants together or meeting up on shift when they were police officers and going to calls together.

Jake and Tori went out to Folly Beach, SC for a normal dinner date night and a walk on the beach this day. They went to Rita’s Seaside Grille for dinner, but ended up having to wait for their dinner reservation. So they walked to the peer, sat, and talked until they got the call their table was ready. Jake and Tori sometimes don’t have good luck when they go out to dinner and this night seemed to be one of them. They were sat outside that night and a band ended up playing. So the entire diner date they weren’t able to really speak to one another, but it was fine because they knew they were going for a nice summer night beach walk after. Jake mentioned he wanted to walk the other side of Folly Beach, near the light house and Tori didn’t think anything of it. So Jake and Tori parked her car and Tori didn’t feel like taking her phone so she left it. They had timed their walk just right and got to see the beautiful sunset. Tori asked if she could use Jake’s phone to take some pictures and Jake gave her his phone. Tori wasn’t paying attention to what Jake was doing and she was just taking pictures of the sunset and the lighthouse at the end of the walkway of the beach, and when she turned around she couldn’t believe her eyes. Tori saw Jake down on one knee, and he asked her to marry him. She didn’t hear what he said because she was in awe. Jake had to repeat himself again for Tori to hear him and then she said, “YES!” Tori and Jake were so excited that they got to enjoy this moment entirely by themselves, because no one else was out on the beach! They took some pictures together, left the beach, and went out for a glass of champagne at Paddock & Whiskey to celebrate!
