How did we meet? Depends on who you ask! Jake believes that we met at a Malvern Prep soccer game in high school. On the other hand, Kathryn believes we met at a Dave Matthews Band concert in Camden, NJ. We were great friends in high school and spent many evenings with all our friends hanging in the back apartment at the Reber's Home. We started dating Sophomore year of college doing the long distance relationship while Jake was at Villanova University and Kathryn at the University of Connecticut. It made basketball games very fun for Kathryn and Jake to attend! We truly had the best 4 years of college between fun nights at Ted's Bar in UConn or Kelly's in Villanova. We then went to the University of Pittsburgh together for graduate school with Kathryn attending the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and Jake going to the Law School. After 3 years of Pittsburgh, we finally moved back near home in our quaint little town, Phoenixville, PA!

On Fourth of July weekend 2022, Jake asked Kathryn to spend a day in Philadelphia prior to heading down the shore to Ocean City, NJ for a beach weekend! Severe thunderstorm warning in the Phildelphia area did not keep Jake away from taking Kathryn to an outdoor rooftop park overlooking the city for a picnic. As we left for our outdoor picnic, the skies opened up leaving a rainbow and pink clouds. We both have no idea what Jake said when he asked, but all I know is I said YES!!!
