Jake & I met about 8 years ago while working at a local bar and restaurant. Definitely wasn't love at first sight; it was actually quite the opposite. I thought he was an arrogant know-it-all (hilarious), and somewhat avoided him. The location we were working at closed and we eventually both ended up at the new location - always working in the sections next to each other. Overtime I warmed up to him and his cheesy sense of humor. One night Trish and I went up to work for some drinks and sat with Jake on the patio. I kept throwing trash trying to make it in the trashcan - mostly misses. Then the bet happened. Jade- "If I make it, you gotta take me on a date" Jake- "Ok" Jade- "& if I don't? ........." Jake- "I'll still take you on a date" & here you are, on our wedding website, as I STILL patiently await that date. :)

First time I took notice of Jade was back at Tailgators 242. I noticed her California tattoo on her hip and I was intrigued. Then she disappeared. Fast forward a few months to Tailgators 2920. Jade had gotten off work and sat at my bar where I proceeded to dispel who she thought I was by killing her with hilarity. Later that week, Jade made her move. She bet me if she could make a trash ball in my trash can I'd have to take her on a date. She missed, the rest is history, September 25, 2021, this is The Date you "won".
