‘Til Death Do Us Part

Jake & Courtney met in 2019 in the most romantic place in the world: Tinder. Brand new to MA, Jake was scouring for new local friends, and lucky for him, Courtney loves both new friends and handsome strangers. They had made plans to go on a date on a Friday, but Courtney was far too hungover, so she made up a lie and arranged to meet him Saturday instead. Off to a great start. Jake showed up to the restaurant in a winter jacket two sizes too big that went down to his knees. To his defense, it was February but to her defense, it was ridiculous. Jake bought Courtney a nice chicken parm dinner, they stayed up laughing and talking all night and they’ve been together ever since.

Jake proposed in August of 2021 while they were on their first adult only vacation in Jamaica. Jake had been acting super weird for several weeks, and Courtney was convinced he was going to break up with her, despite him having paid extra for a private beach dinner at an *all inclusive* resort. Grow up, Harding. Fun fact: Jake purchased the ring 10 months earlier and had it hidden under their bed the entire time. He proposed nervously, loudly and quickly with the help of a very animated photographer and cheers from other beach-goers and hotel staff, who also helped remind Courtney she needed to stop screaming, “Are you serious?!” and actually answer his question. We called Evie & Isaac the next day to tell them the news, to which Isaac gave the best response ever of, “I thought you guys were already married?”
