It was Thanksgiving of 2018. Jake was traveling with his younger cousin, to his grandparents house in Elizabethtown. Cheyenne was Black Friday shopping with her family in Cincinnati. While shopping, Cheyenne gets a text from her best friend, Abby, saying, “My cousin Jake wants to message you.” A couple minutes later, Jake slid into Cheyenne’s DM’s with a slick, “Hey, you’re pretty cute. You’re Abby’s friend, right?” Cheyenne responded with, “Abby who?”
Her favorite place. Her favorite people. Her favorite holiday. Every year, Cheyenne's family holds a knock-down-drag-out Easter egg hunt. This year, the stakes were high and there was a golden egg on the line. Little did she know, Jake had informed the whole family that he wanted to ask her to marry him during this festivity, with their help. The first leg of the hunt was over, and it was down to three. The players were expected to receive a clue to the golden egg from their Grandpa. The clue instead, was her Grandpa turning her around. To her surprise, there was Jake, on one knee with a huge sparkly egg, filled with a box and a ring.
