Meeting in the sixth grade after being placed next to each other in social studies, the pair bonded and formed a silly and beautiful friendship almost instantly. On Halloween day in 2012, Jager decides to pass Alyssa a note through a mutual friend (as eleven-year-olds do) exclaiming, "Do you want to be my girlfriend? It's ok if you say no...PS. Happy Halloween!" Happily, she agrees, and ever since they've become inseparable. They grew up together and enjoyed every moment of it. At thirteen, they exchange their first "I love you" and truly mean it. At fourteen, Jager promises to marry Alyssa. He gives her a promise ring for their three year anniversary. They shared a love for music throughout high school and enjoyed marching together in the band as well as playing in concerts. They spent time together as much as they could. They always made each other laugh so hard that one of them started to cough while the other cried. And when things got hard for either, the other was always there no matter what. They are best friends. At eighteen, they graduated together and were very excited to begin their new journey. They attended their own programs and eventually moved in together sharing an apartment with their loyal and stubborn dachshund Basil. There, they learned even more about what it means to be a team. At twenty-one, on August 7th, 2022, Alyssa and Jager agree to participate in a photo shoot for a family friend. Unknowingly to Alyssa, Jager gets on one knee and asks her for her hand in marriage. It was one of the best days of their lives. From navigating adolescence to their teenage years as well as young adulthood, they were in it together. They knew that God gave them each other from the beginning and that having the relationship that they do is a true blessing. Both are thankful for the obstacles thrown their way, as they learned and became stronger from them. They are excited to become a family and grow even more in marriage. We grow together, never apart.
