While we adore your children, this is an adult-only celebration.
The Welcome Party on Friday is a casual beachside affair. We would recommend options like sundresses, short-sleeved button downs, shorts, matching sets and dressy sandals. The Wedding and Reception are considered semi-formal. We would recommend options like cocktail dresses, suits and relaxed formal wear that is spring forward. Most of the events during our wedding weekend are outdoors and would recommend bringing a light jacket with you to Virginia Beach.
We are getting married at Virginia Beach but not on the beach. While our welcome party is beachside, we do not have any planned events on sand or near the water. However, the hotels on the boardwalk offer immediate access to the beach and we highly recommend a beach stroll while you are in town!

Our hope is that our wedding weekend is sunny and clear skies! That said, the weather in Virginia Beach in May can be temperamental. On average, it should be about 70 degrees. We would recommend bringing a light jacket should the evenings get cool or we are greeted with brief rain. The bride strongly recommends SPF rain or shine :)
You do you! There will be no judgement as it relates to choices made for wedding attendance or the Eras Tour. We can 100% promise some Taylor jams though <3
As mentioned on our schedule, most events around our wedding weekend are planned for outdoors. Should it rain, we have indoor options for each event within the Cavalier Hotel and the Marriott. The reception is tented on the Great Lawn which will be our rain or shine plan.
We know it can be confusing to be at a property with multiple events. Thankfully, we will be the sole wedding at the Cavalier Hotel property. That said, we have picked a fairly popular time of the year to get married so, we assume there will be other wedding parties and events at the Marriott that weekend. Just keep close eye of the schedule/locations we have provided and signage that indicates the "Keefe Hyde" wedding.
We have provided information about blocks of rooms and other close hotels to the venue under "Travel". If you want to choose other options, please do so! There are great places to stay in the area. We would highly recommend staying in the north end to be closer to the wedding festivities and out of the congested area of the boardwalk.
We ask that if you show any signs of illness or have had a recent exposure, that you would respect the health of our immunocompromised loved ones by not attending. We will look forward to celebrating with you at a later date.
