Short answer: yes, according to Marin County. As of May 3, face coverings are not required outdoors for fully vaccinated people except when attending outdoor events such as live performances, parades, fairs, festivals, sports events, or other similar settings. The guidelines are different for the unvaccinated; they must wear face coverings outdoors any time physical distancing cannot be maintained, including when attending outdoor events such as those listed above. In indoor settings outside of one's home, including while riding public transportation, face coverings continue to be required regardless of vaccination status. See the California Department of Public Health’s webpage for details.
All major events will take place outdoors unless weather becomes an issue, and then we'll update here ASAP! Until then, we recommend wearing sunscreen, bringing sunglasses, and having a jacket on-hand.
We love your kids—we really do, but we want our wedding to be your day off! Additionally, we are managing a small guest list to be COVID conscious.
Cocktail attire is encouraged, but we want you to feel comfortable! The ceremony will be on a lawn - watch those spiky heels! - and all activities are outdoors, so please bring a layer!
We're doing our best to reduce transmission points by keeping the ceremony and party small, planning an exclusively outdoor event (with a failsafe inside), offering distanced seating, hand sanitizer stations, and limiting points of touch/contact with food and beverage distribution. We understand not everyone will be able to receive a vaccine in advance, so we also ask that guests wear masks as often as possible prior to and during the day's events. We hope that you take away only good memories, photos, and treats from our wedding day!
