Marisa Jakubovic

Matron of Honor

Near or far - distance never seems to matter for the two of us. Best friends since 6th grade we can't be separated. We've always made sure to be there for the big things, but also remember all the little things that just lift each of us up. Through school, college, jobs, marriage, children, and different states, we can always pick right back up where we left off. I'm forever grateful to have such a wonderful best friend in my life to share crazy stories and the adventure of life together. Can't wait to have Marisa standing next me when I say "I do".

Jennifer Bailey

Bridesmaid

As my oldest sister and friend we’ve grown together over the years. Can’t say we always really liked each other but over the years we’ve truly become friends and not just sisters. It was fun growing up together and watching our parents balance crazy schedules and all of our things and I’ve been able to watch Jennifer do the same thing with her 3 children and balance life. She’s a wonderful mom and a great sister and very excited to have her be a part of our special day!

Shane James

Best Man

What started out as a simple introduction at a USL (Lafayette, LA) football game in the fall of ‘96 has grown into a lifelong friendship! When I was finishing up my degree, I used to call Shane’s house my second home as his mom, Mrs. Linda, always had a hot meal and food in the fridge with an open invitation to come over whenever the hunger strikes. After I left Louisiana for Dallas, Shane would swing in for pool parties and on occasion, bring the Harley to cruise the streets of DFW. When he was ready for a change, he crashed at my place for a week until he found the right MRI position at Baylor and has been local ever since to share countless road trips, laughs, and the occasional beer. As we both take the next step in our journeys, you can count on him to be there riding shotgun!

Derek Crusan

Groomsman

It was the early spring of ’97 when I met this fella from PA in the apartment gym in Lafayette, LA. After a few crossings, I invited him out for an evening on the town and he showed up in a Crocodile Dundee Hat and proclaimed he didn’t listen to country music and couldn’t 2 step. Needless to say, within a few months, he’s in Wrangler’s, Stetson, and honkytonk dancing…a true flip of script! I was there when he met his amazing wife Nella (she gets the credit for refined his dancing) and we also lived together for a few years prior to my Dallas move. As fate would have it, work moved them up to Frisco, TX and we picked up right where we left off for a good 5 years. He’s been back in Louisiana for quite some time now but every we can connect, it’s just like another day that hadn’t passed!

David Mondani

Father of the Bride

Too many things to say about my dad! He’s the best guy I know, always puts his family first and was always there when we needed him and even when we didn’t know we needed him! From dance recitals, to volleyball weekends, and dress shopping he was always first in line and was a part of everything and I couldn’t be more thankful! I still call all the time and he always has an answer! My parents have set such an amazing example of love, happiness, marriage, and family for us! Can’t wait to have him walk me down the isle on this special day ahead.

Marsha Mondani

Mother of the Bride

No bond like a mother and daughter! She’s always worked so hard to give us a good life snd be a role model for all of us and still is. Our favorite times were lunching and shopping and we still do that as much as possible today! Mom has taught me so much and has helped to make me the woman I am today. She’s always been there for everything and still gives the best back scratches and advice! Love including her to be one of the “girls” on this special day and always!

Art Schultz

Father of the Groom

A wonderful father, teacher, and man. He has taught me so many things about horses, life, being a good person and husband, and most importantly how to appreciate and love the ones that mean the most to you. Even though we are 400 miles away from each other there’s not a moment that goes by where he is right there with me. I cherish each and every moment with him and look forward to our horse business and relationship to continue to grow as we share memories together along the way.

Sabrina Gujral

Officiant

Too many memories to even start, but as my first friend in MI that took me in, showed me the ropes, and introduced me to so many of her friends, I’m forever grateful! We sure had a lot of fun times and adventures over the last 14 years and wouldn’t trade a minute of it!
