Welcome to our love story

Introduced by a mutual friend, when neither were looking for love, Joshua and Jacquelyn had an instant connection. Jacquelyn knew he was the one when she watched Ella jump off a pontoon boat into Joshua’s arms. That feeling was only solidified the moment she met Hughston, truly love at first sight. The days turned into years and have been filled with lots of laughs, smiles and most importantly genuine love for one another. Joshua and Jacquelyn have helped each other grow as individuals and as partners, their pasts seem to perfectly prepare them for one another. And they’ve become the couple we know and love today and will celebrate December 2, 2023.

Jacquelyn was born and raised in Palmdale, California where she was involved in just about any club or sport you could think of. She went on to attend San Francisco State University where she obtained her bachelor of science in Biology but not before trying out UNL for a semester…It wasn’t her place and she made it back to the city she loved and the friendships she cherished. She then moved to Nebraska - for the second time - after graduating and it still wasn’t her place. So she moved to San Diego where she was blessed with little miss Ella, her only hang up was having to move to Nebraska yet again. This move to Nebraska was different. She pursued her masters degree and esthetics license and now runs a successful company, Spencer Beauty. This time she met Joshua…he not only made Nebraska her place he made it her home.

Joshua was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, where sports and the outdoors ruled the day. He first attended UNO where he played football, until injuries and Trev Alberts closed that door. Josh graduated from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska, and played on the golf team while in school. After graduation, Josh moved to Omaha and after a couple brief stops elsewhere, he started his career at Edward Jones. In 2017, Hughston changed Josh’s life. In July of a very bumpy 2020, Joshua met Jacquelyn and Ella. Since then the days seem to fly by, in the best way as Josh, Jackie, Ella and Hughston tackle every challenge as a United family.
