It all began in the summer of 2021, when, both new to Denver, Colorado, we separately joined a sand volleyball league. As we got to know each other over silly team bonding and after-game beers, we became fast friends. Soon, we were enjoying park day hangs, breweries, ski trips, and special Lord of the Rings movie showings at the Alamo Drafthouse. In early 2022, with the help of our matchmaker, Katie, we took a leap of faith and decided to transition from friendship to something more. As we began dating, we went on countless adventures, big and small, like camping, traveling together, hosting a big Halloween themed party, and meeting each other’s families. Travis even supported Jacqueline’s goal of running a race in all 50 states (including running the Chicago marathon) by joining in on races and training with her (as long as they got to check out a new Colorado brewery after!) From morning donut runs and coffee on the couch to evenings preparing dinner together, we found joy in the simple pleasures of being together. As we begin this new chapter of our lives, engaged and traveling around the country, we look forward to all of the adventures to come and we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you in November!
