What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Yes, please wear formal attire.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

To be honest, the weather in this region is very unpredictable! It could be warm one day, and chilly the next. It’s expected that it’ll be Fall-like weather/temperatures; cold in the mornings and a chance at being warmer in the afternoons. We recommend checking the weather beforehand!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both take place at 90 State Events, 90 State St, Albany, NY.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will take place indoors.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony there will be a cocktail hour on the upper level/balcony (indoors), followed by a 4 1/2 hr reception in the same location as the ceremony.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

No, but if you want to come into town on Saturday or stay in town past the wedding, check out the Things to Do page of the website for local restaurants, museums, and more!

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

If you can’t make it, you will be missed! You will be able to RSVP online or via mail once we send out the formal invitations.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

You can start arriving at 2:00PM on October 17, 2021. Please make sure you are seated by 2:20PM, the ceremony will begin at 2:30PM.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There will be a valet parking service that is free for guests. Limited street parking may also be available.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although children are not officially invited, we would not want that to stop anyone from attending our wedding! If you find that you’re unable to find childcare, It is best for us to know sooner than later so that we can have a final guest count. Reach out and let us know.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you would like to bring a date to the wedding, let us know. We want to make sure that everyone eats and can enjoy our wedding day fully! We also need to give the final guest count to our vendors/planners; the earlier we know the better.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

If you check out the Travel page of our website, you will find a link to our hotel blocks and several hotel recommendations in the area.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is September 10, 2021. You have the option of either mailing back the RSVP to us OR or you can complete it online. If you have any questions, let us know!

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes, we are including a vegan/vegetarian option. If you require any special diet options, do not hesitate to let us know!

If you check out our Registry page, you will find a link to our Target wedding registry as well as two cash funds we have set up.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Please do not take pictures during the wedding ceremony. During other wedding events you are free to take pictures and post to social media, but please tag your posts #ForeverWatson2021 so we can enjoy your pictures too!
