By when should I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly request that you RSVP by April 16th. This helps us make sure we give the chef the best headcount so we can make sure everyone gets to eat well at the buffet. We hope that you will be able to help us celebrate!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No, there's no real "dress code," but we welcome you to show off in semiformal attire. Grass-friendly shoes are suggested & you will want to have shoes you are comfortable wearing (or kicking off) for the reception celebration inside the lodge.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will be having a buffet-style dinner. There will be wait staff available to answer your questions about any dish concerning your dietary restrictions. Feel free to ask!

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

We have been advised that any outside beverages found onsite will cause a ruckus and can potentially cause the party to be shut down. We will treat you to an open bar for a portion of the night. Please enjoy this while it lasts! But if you are still thirsty the cash bar is more than happy to serve you.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We love that you are so excited to help us capture our big day! We have found a really great photographer (Chris Wilson, owner of Fire Away Photography) who will be helping us document everything. We politely ask that you silence and put away your cell phones during the ceremony so that we can soak up this special moment.

What if it rains?

Answer

We will try our best to have the ceremony outside, but we may need to move indoors.

Will my cell phone's internet work?

Answer

Cell service starts becoming less reliable as you near the lodge. We strongly suggest printing driving directions before you leave home so that you are not left hoping your internet will work on the way!

Are there other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Liberty University, a large school in Lynchburg, is having their commencement ceremony the morning of May 19th. Please plan your travel accordingly.

Where are you going on your honeymoon?

Answer

Somewhere! Our top runners include visiting the islands of Hawaii, enjoying a destination cruise, or exploring the countryside of Italy, but we may choose a place completely different after we really dig into planning. We decided to go non-traditional and space our wedding and honeymoon so we could focus on one thing at a time. We would like to go on our honeymoon getaway late this year or early year. If you have ideas for a place that you loved visiting or a travel agency that has been super helpful, please share!
