Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate additional guests not explicitly included with your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Question

I am traveling to the wedding from out of town, do I need a car?

Answer

No, but a car might be helpful. If you are arriving or departing by plane or train, we can arrange transportation for you to and from the lodge (email us at jlaurell34@gmail.com). Once at Maumee Bay, everything you need is here; the lodge, ceremony, and reception space are all on-site. However, Maumee Bay is not accessible by public transportation, so any sightseeing in the area would require transportation via Uber or Lyft.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Semi Formal Attire: Wear linen pants, khakis, chinos, button downs, nice polos, skirt, maxi/midi dresses, sundresses, flats, dressy sandals, loafers, boat shoes, or dressy sneakers. Jackets and ties optional. The ceremony will be outdoors on the lake (as long as weather permits) and the reception will be indoors. The weather is usually around 85 degrees Fahrenheit with a breeze from the lake shore. Please wear clothing that will keep you comfortable in the sun and on the dance floor, such as lightweight, breathable fabrics like cotton and linen. Additionally, our wedding is scent-free, so please do not wear colognes or perfumes.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes, there is free parking on site.

What time should I arrive to the wedding?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm, so we request guests plan to arrive no earlier than 4:15 but no later than 4:45. We appreciate your planning and understanding!

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos at the ceremony to ensure our photographer is able to do their best work capturing our big day. After the ceremony, please take lots of pictures and have an amazing time!

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will have an open bar with beer and wine. We will also have other non alcoholic beverages available.

What time does the reception end?

Answer

The reception will end at 11, although the fire pit will be available until midnight.
