8/14/19 was a very special day. Dj picked me up for our date night where we were going to eat at our favorite restaurant, 6smith on lake Minnetonka. As soon as we arrived, he told me he wanted to walk on the docks because we were "early" for our reservation. I could tell he was getting nervous and when we got to the end of the dock, he had roses laid out in a circle with bouquets around it. Little did I know, his mom Carrie was hiding around the corner taking a video and the photographer was hiding behind a newspaper. This was absolutely the best day of our lives! There were people standing around us and all clapping/giving us hugs after. One older couple walked up to us and congratulated us/told us they have been married for 60 years and how much they're still in love. After we got to celebrate with a nice dinner by ourselves and soak it all in. At this point, our parents had no idea and we were excited to get home and share the exciting news. What a wonderful day that we will never forget.
