Travel directions to Valle de Guadalupe. 1) Fly into San Diego Airport. 2) Rent a car: an SUV and liability car insurance are recommended for the journey. 3) The journey is 90 minutes to Valle de Guadalupe. Driving directions from San Diego to Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico: Start by heading south on Interstate 5 (I-5) from San Diego. Stay on I-5 South and continue until you reach the U.S.-Mexico border. After crossing the border, you'll enter Tijuana. Follow the signs for Rosarito/Ensenada/Scenic Road (Toll Road/Carretera Escénica). Take the toll road (Carretera Escénica) towards Rosarito/Ensenada. This road is also known as Mexico Federal Highway 1D (Mex-1D). Continue driving on the toll road for approximately 40 miles until you reach the exit for the Free Road to Ensenada (Libre an Ensenada). Take the exit and merge onto the Free Road (Libre) towards Ensenada. Continue on the Free Road for approximately 20 miles (32 kilometers) until you reach the exit for Valle de Guadalupe.
