We’re getting married!

Jacob and Natalie first met on Oct. 16 2016, it was the first night of sukot. Jacob and Natalie were both attending a sukot party hosted by Rabbi Yaya and Devorah Wilham at Nargila Restaurant on the upper east side. Jacob said hello, Natalie responded in kind. They went separate ways and neither said a word to each-other for the rest of the night.

Three nights later Oct 19, 2016, the second night of chol hamoed sukot, Jacob and Natalie are again both attending a sukot party. This time hosted by Rabbi Levi and Perl Smotkin of Chabad of Midtown West in Bryant Park. Jacob recognized Natalie, they started speaking and continued until the end of the party. They exchanged numbers. The rest is history.

Jacob told Natalie that they were going to a fancy restaurant for dinner on Wednesday (who gets engaged on a Wednesday right?) Nov 7 2018 with Jacobs friend and Jacobs friends parents. The uber arrived, Jacob picked up Natalie. En route Jacob received a phone call from his friend on speakerphone. Hey Jakester, we still haven’t left the apartment, we are having drinks on the rooftop, bring Nats over and then we will all uber to restaurant”. The uber was rerouted. We arrived at the rooftop. There were roses on the ground, NYC skyline in the background, kosher Laurent Perrier champagne and a 2foot by 6 foot sign on the ground that said “BE MINE”. Natalie was speechless. She said YES!
