Summer of 2020, Ashley and Jacob were in the same quarantine friend group. This group hung out A LOT. Jacob and Ashley immediately caught feelings for each other.

Jacob had accepted an overseas mission position for two years so they denied feelings all summer because they knew heart-break would happen if they were anything more than friends.

By the end of the summer, Jacob and Ashley gave into feelings and went on their first "real date" to Centro in Des Moines. They agreed that this relationship was worth the two years long distance.

Jacob moved to Madison, WI to wait to move overseas. They started officially dating on September 10th, 2020 and only saw each other once before the holidays. Feelings were growing very quickly.

Due to COVID-19 Jacob's overseas mission location was thrown off so he was presented the opportunity to step down and explore other options. He decided to step down and enter seminary school.

Jacob also decided to move to Columbus, OH to help start a Salt Company at the Ohio State University. Ashley had already agreed to move to Ohio earlier in the fall. Doors were opening!

Throughout the holidays, serious conversations of marriage and future stuff were happening. Jacob proposed to Ashley on March 4th, 2021 and they set their wedding date of July 17th, 2021!

After they get married and honeymoon, Jacob and Ashley will move to Columbus on August 1st to help start the OSU Salt company! Ashley will be working at the OSU hospital and applying to PA schools.

Jacob will be continuing seminary school to get his Masters in Divinity. Together they are very excited to make Columbus home and to pursue the wonderful people there, sharing the gospel as they go.
